Registration Information for the Full version

• The full version allows asynchronous transfers (you try this functionality out by using the complied example application).
• Once registered, you are permitted to distribute the ActiveX control and associated files with your applications royalty free.
• It only costs $50 and covers all upgrades and fixes released with the same major version number.

How to register for the Full version

Before registering for a serial number, you must read and agree to the license agreement set out below.

Once you have obtained a serial number, enter your name and the serial number exactly as supplied (both entries are case-sensitive) in the registration tool provided in the FTP zip file.

License Agreement for the Full version

Please read the following license agreement carefully. It will be necessary for you to agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement before registering the control.

This License Agreement (hereafter "LICENSE") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and DevPower Solutions ("DEVPOWER"), for the DevPower FTP ActiveX Control software package ("SOFTWARE").

By registering for a serial number, you agree to be bound by the terms of this LICENSE. If you do not agree to the terms of this LICENSE, please do not apply for a serial number - you may however continue to use the freeware version.

The SOFTWARE is protected by copyright laws, as well as other intellectual property laws. The SOFTWARE is licensed, not sold.

1. This LICENSE grants you the following rights:
   A) You may use one copy of the SOFTWARE on a single computer. The SOFTWARE is defined to be in "use" on a computer when it is loaded into RAM or installed on hard disk, CD-ROM, or other storage devices of that computer. Installation on a network server for the sole purpose of internal distribution to one or more other computer(s) does not however constitute "use" for which a separate license is required, provided you have a separate license for each computer to which the SOFTWARE is distributed.
   B) With respect to electronic documents included with the SOFTWARE, you may make electronic or hard copies, provided that such copies shall be used only for internal purposes and are not republished or distributed to any third party.
2. Copyright:
   All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE and any copies of the SOFTWARE are owned by DEVPOWER. The SOFTWARE is protected by copyright laws. Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE like any other copyrighted material, except that you may either (A) make one copy of the SOFTWARE solely for backup or archival purposes or (B) install the SOFTWARE on a single computer provided you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes.
3. Additional Limitations:
   A) You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE.
   B) You may not rent or lease the SOFTWARE.
   C) You may NOT distribute the name / serial number pair supplied under this LICENSE.
   D) You may NOT transfer any of your rights under this LICENSE.
   E) Without prejudice to any other rights, DEVPOWER may terminate this LICENSE if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this LICENSE. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE.
4. Redistribution:
   In addition to the license granted under Section 1, you have the royalty-free right to reproduce and distribute the object code (OCX Control) of the SOFTWARE, provided that you defend DEVPOWER from and against any claims or lawsuits, that arise or result from the use and distribution of your software application product and disallow further distribution of the SOFTWARE by your end user. Note that due to continued piracy of the SOFTWARE, the version check function that is performed periodically in design mode (and can be disabled in the General property page) will transmit your registered name, serial number and email address to the DevPower web site for verification.
5. Limited warranty:
   DEVPOWER will not make available direct Technical Support for the SOFTWARE, but will revise or update the SOFTWARE as appropriate. In so doing, DEVPOWER incurs no obligation to furnish such revision or updates to you.
   To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the SOFTWARE and documentation are provided "as is" and DEVPOWER disclaims all other warranties and conditions, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, conformance with description, title and non-infringement of third party rights
   to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DEVPOWER be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits or business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use or inability to use the SOFTWARE, even if DEVPOWER has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
   In any case, the cumulative and entire liability to you or any other party for any loss or damages resulting from any claims, demands or actions arising out of or relating to this agreement shall not exceed the purchase price paid for this license.

   Finally, should any term of these terms and conditions be declared void or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such declaration shall have no effect on the remaining terms.

Purchasing the Source Code

• Include the power of the FTP control in your projects without the need to distribute the OCX file.
• Once purchased, you can modify the ActiveX control and freely distribute the compiled control with your applications.
• It costs $149.

How to purchase the source code
